I am, as always, Tim Dross, and I can now bring you details of more entrants into the IIWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament at Coronation Clash. Let's hear from Casey "Whitebread" James: [SCENE: Shot begins with a close-up of a big grin made up of perfect teeth.] Mouth: Hello, good people! Do you know what time it is? Time for Justice!!!! [The shot widens to show that the perfect grin is framed by a perfect jawline on a perfect face, which is underneath the perfectly groomed hair on top of the head that is perfectly proportioned to the perfectly muscled body that it sits upon...] I'm CASEY "WHITEBREAD" JAMES!!!! [The shot opens wider to show that he is in front of the Lincoln Memorial] Casey: As I said before, it's time for justice! Have you seen the world today? Well, it's awful!!! Crime, drugs, lawyers... Why, what ever happened to "Mom's Apple Pie", and "The Boys of Summer"? What ever happened to the great country that we call the U.S. of A? It's being torn apart... Not by some foreign power, but from the inside! That's why I'm here... To right the wrongs, to make the world a better place to be! Wait a minute... What's THAT??? [Casey looks off to the distance, and runs off camera... The camera loses him for a moment, and then finds him again... Casey is helping a little old lady across the street... She is saying, "Thank you, sonny, but I really don't NEED to go across the street... I was going... Oh, but you're such a NICE boy..." As Casey leads her across, he is stopping traffic with a mighty palm, saying, "Whoa, there, folks... Coming through!" Casey finishes his deed, and comes back to the camera...] Casey: You see? One good deed a day makes the world a much better place... And that's why I'm coming to the IIWF... To make it a better place! See you soon! [Fade] And let's take a look at his stats: CASEY "WHITEBREAD" JAMES Weight: 320lbs Height: 6'6" Origin: "The grand old U.S. of A!!!!" Manager/Valet: none Appearance: Perfectly groomed blonde hair, strong jawline, blue and white trunks with white boots Theme Music:"Yankee Doodle Dandy" Face/Heel: Annoying face 5 Favorite Moves: - Body Slam - Boot to the face - Elbow Drop - Clothesline - Double axehandle ("Swift Justice") Finishing Move: "The Hammer Of Justice" (A running powerslam) [Handler: Mathew Findlay (tetsuo@interlog.com)] Another newcomer to the IIWF's ranks is the intimidating Tiger Claw. Let's get comments from his manager, Brian Lau: [SCENE: Brain Lau on a gravel road in front of a large wooden door.] Brian: Hello, everyone... My name is Brian Lau. I am the manager of the newest talent to come to the IIWF, a man who is going to take the Western world by storm. This man has trained his entire life to turn his body into the strongest weapon possible. Just beyond this door, he trains for his arrival to the IIWF, where he will unquestionably dominate the singles competition. Come, I will show you... [Brian opens the door, and leads the camera into a large room with a wooden floor. Many people are sparring with each other, and a crowd has formed in the back. It is this crowd that Brian is leading the camera to.] Brian: It looks like my man is doing the sparring segment of his training... I feel sorry for the poor man who faces him! [The crowd parts as Brian approaches, giving the cameraa perfect view of what's going on. Two men are sparring. The first, a nondescript jobber type, is getting pummelled by the second. The aggressor is a tall, slender man whose body is almost totally devoid of fat. Muscles ripple with every movement. He has a shaved head, except for a long braid on the back that hangs down to his waist. He wears Black and Red boxing shorts with the traditional Thai script across the front, identifying him as a Thai kickboxer. On his back is a tattoo of a tiger ready to pounce.] Brian: Look at him... A machine for combat... This man used to be champion of the Thai circuit, but they found him too brutal. All the better, I say... Ladies and gentlemen, I give you TIGER CLAW! [Almost as if on cue, Tiger Claw executes a push kick, followed by a spinning round shin kick. The sound of Tiger Claw's shin smacking into the jobber's head is similar to a baseball bat hitting a baseball. The jobber staggers, somehow managing to remain conscious. Brian yells something in Thai, and Tiger Claw executes a flying knee strike. The knee hits, and sends the jobber down to the mat. Tiger Claw raises his hands as if it's just a reflex, but he doesn't seem to be too thrilled about winning] Brian: See the look in his eye? Tiger Claw wants competition... We've looked all over the globe, and we've come to the IIWF... I hope you've all enjoyed this demonstration. We'll see you in the ring. [Fade] This light heavyweight could make a big splash in IIWF. Let's look at the tale of the tape: TIGER CLAW Weight: 220 lbs Height: 6'2" Origin: Thailand Manager/Valet: Brian Lau Appearance: Shaved head except for a long braid in back, Red and Black traditional Thai Boxing shorts, bare feet Theme Music: Traditional Thai Boxing music (A chaotic mix of drums, horns, and bells) Face/Heel: Heel 5 Favorite Moves: (Mostly versions of Thai boxing attacks) - Elbow smash - Back heel kick - Spinning round shin kick - Knee Fury (clinches opponent's head, then proceeds with a barrage of knee strikes to the head and body) - Punching fury (relentless combo of fist shots) - Cartwheel kick Finishing Move: Golden Tiger Strike (A flying knee strike from the top rope to opponent's head) [Handler: Mathew Findlay (tetsuo@interlog.com)] A man we've all seen before is returning to the rings right here in IIWF! To date, he's not lost a single match - and he's certainly going to be a force to reckon with in Coronation Clash. Let's hear from Tony Starks: [SCENE: A corner on a New York street, Tony Starks is leaning against the hood of his BMW, stylish as ever, he speaks:] "Yo, I am looking for some competition, I hope I will find it here in the IIWF. I was the number one contender ever since I entered the now defunct IHIW, I never got a title shot. Now, there is a tournament where the best in the world compete for the most prestigious belt in the world: the IIWF world title. It is a dream come true for me, the top competition in the world and my opportunity to win the title. The best way I can get C.R.E.A.M. is to win the belt... and I plan to win it. Whoever I go against, you better bring a pencil and paper, you are going to school." [Fade] Let's remind ourselves of this man's stats: TONY STARKS Weight: 6'6" Height: 269 lbs. Origin: Staten Island, NY Appearance: Black man, low cut fade, wears black and gold wrestling gear long trunks and boots. Theme Music: "C.R.E.A.M." by Wu Tang Clan Face/Heel: Neutral/heel 5 Favorite Moves: - Crossface Chickenwing - STF - Figure Four Leg Lock - Kneelock Submission - Assorted Takedowns Finishing Hold: Dragon Suplex [Handler: Hunter Robertson (has4hmr@vcu.cabell.edu)] And another man planning to make an explosive entrance into IIWF is the "Angel of the Sun", Japanese legend Hakiro Matsuoko. He's got a phenomenal martial arts background, and going on his performances in Japan, this man will go far in IIWF. Let's hear from him: [SCENE: A dojo in Japan, it is filled with various trophies, awards and numerous fighting world titles. A figure stands in front of a large doorway that leads to the beautiful Japanese countryside. The man can be seen doing his daily kata, he is the definition of grace, power and precision. He finishes and turns to speak:] "I am Hakiro Matsuoko, I have traveled all over the world competing and I have been a sucess everywhere I have gone. I have found the place where all the top athletes are: the IIWF. I am here to prove my skill, and to show the world the best wrestling anywhere. I am ready, I hope all of you all are too, I want to take the best at their best, for that is how a true champion is crowned." [He then continues with the training; there is a multitude of moves shown, and Hakiro Matsuoko looks as sharp as the swords of the Samurai from which he is descended. Fade] His stats speak for themselves; this light heavyweight can do it all: "ANGEL OF THE SUN" HAKIRO MATSUOKO Height: 6'2" weight: 215 lbs. origin: Tokyo, Japan Theme Music: Kodo music (Japanese drum music) Face/Heel: Face Appearance: Asian Male, he wears either white or black karate pants (like Hakushi or Muta or Kanemoto), his hands and wrists are taped, and he wears traditional wrestling boots, his gear that he wears to the ring is a spectacular traditional Oriental costume. His ring entrance is one of the best in the world; with the flames blazing and lights off it is truly reminiscent of his ring style. 5 Favorite Moves: - Handspring Elbow - Yakuza Kick - Handspring Bodyblock - Moonsault - Octopus Hold Finishing Hold: Flying Spinning Leg Lariat [Handler: Hunter Robertson (has4hmr@vcu.cabell.edu)] Possibly the most bizarre of the latest batch of newcomers is the enigmatic but highly dangerous Venusian Death Cell. Let's go to my broadcast colleague, "Soundbite" Steve Roberts, who's on assignment in a high security jail: [SCENE: The Venusian Death Cell is sitting in his bedroom, a small padded room with iron bars holding him in. He is dressed in his mask, a black baggy shirt and his green wrestling tights. At the cell bars is a man who appears to be a jailer. He is just sitting at a desk, reading. The camera crew walks in, as does IIWF reporter "Soundbite" Steve Roberts.] Roberts: Wow, just look at this place! What the.....? [Roberts looks at the Death Cell sitting on his bed.] Excuse me, sir [talking to the jailer], any chance of letting us in for an interview with the IIWF newcomer? Jailer [bluntly]: Sorry, but you can't go in there. He's liable to rip you apart. Roberts: Ahhh, I see. Any chance of speaking to him from here then? Can we just get past....? Jailer: No. He doesn't understand English. He doesn't understand anything, or if he does, he doesn't reply. He just sits in that cell all day and night. Roberts: What about food? He must eat... And what about training? To be in that physical shape, he must go to the gym, surely...? Jailer: No, he just sits there. We give him the odd meal, but he refuses it. All he wants is blood. He lives on it, so we have to give him a bottle of blood everyday. Roberts: Where the heck do you get that from? Surely not humans? Jailer: No, that's why he loves wrestling so much. When he gets into the ring, he just wants blood, human blood it appears. That's it. He has to make do with cow and pig blood from the butcher's when he's here. [The Death Cell looks up at Roberts, then picks up his bottle of blood and drinks it all.] Roberts: That's disgusting!! What the heck is this guy? So what about the training then? Jailer: When we found him, he was built like that already. He was roaming the Arizona desert. We just picked him up, bundled him into the van, and brought him here. Where he comes from is anyone's guess. The only word he has ever said to us is 'Venus'. We presume he's a mental case, but we've never seen his face, so we can't be sure. Roberts [visibly uncomfortable]: So, how long have you known him? Jailer: We picked him up about three years ago now. We got him into the wrestling ring as a last resort. It's the only place he can legally injure people. He even killed a guy once in one of your competitors' federations. It was real scary. Roberts: Oh my...! How do you get him out of here then? Jailer [Pointing to a door]: In there, there's these two guys who restrain him when I unlock the cell. They hold him until we get to the arena and then when it's his match, they let him loose and he immediately goes to the ring and goes after whoever's in there. After the match, they have to go out to the ring to hold him before he starts on the crowd. Roberts: Well, sir, thanks for your time. I think we should leave now.. Jailer: No problem. I hope it wasn't anything I said.... Roberts: Oh no, we're out of time! Let's hand back to Tim Dross.... [Fade] What a strange and sinister individual! And this man is no slouch in the ring; let's take a look at his stats: THE VENUSIAN DEATH CELL Weight: 332lbs (23 stone 10lbs) Height: 6'5" Origin: Venus Manager/Valet: none Appearance: He wears a dark green mask so his face is not seen. His body is muscular, but not well toned (similar to that of Hunter Hearst Helmsley). He is white. He wears dark green trunks and a green robe to the ring. Theme Music: The music to the shower scene from Psycho (by Bernard Herrmann) Face/Heel: Heel 5 Favorite Moves: Piledriver Powerbomb Swinging neckbreaker DDT Clothesline Finishing Move: A modified chokeslam known as the Venusian Death Slam. He whips his opponent to the ropes, picks them up by the throat and then powers them down to the mat onto their backs whilst holding on to the throat. Profile of wrestler: He has an unknown background. It is known that he is a complete lunatic, though. He often gets disqualified in matches as he disregards the rules completely. He has held no titles, but is looking for them in this federation! [Handler: Roger Fletton (b9560951@wlv.ac.uk)] Ex-model, ex-actor; are there no ends to the talents of "Showstopper" Simon Lebec? Let's hear from this cocky young athlete: [SCENE: "The Showstopper" Simon Lebec and Miss Crystal are sitting in the living room of Lebec's mansion, sipping on cocktails:] Lebec: The Singles tournament is about to begin. Get ready for the debut of "The Showstopper"!!! Crystal....... when I win the IIWF Heavyweight crown, where should I keep it? I mean, my trophy room is already full with titles and Oscars. Miss Crystal: Guess you'll just have to build on. Lebec: PLEEEEEAAAAASSSSSEEEE!!!! "Building on", as you call it, is for commoners. I think I'll just have to buy another house. Miss Crystal: Oh yes!! Quite right!! Lebec: You see, all you peasants in the IIWF simply cannot match my wrestling ability. It is only a formality that I have to wrestle in the tournament. I am reminded of something that my old sparring partner used to say. What WAS his name again?? Miss Crystal: You mean that talentless bum with the bad dye job??? Lebec: Yes, that's the one!!! Forget it!! Anyway, after I would soundly defeat him every sparring session, he would always say," Whether you like it or don't like it, you've gotta sit down and look at it, because it's the BEST thing going today!!!!" I thought that summed me up pretty well. So, to all you IIWF wrestlers: you'll find out who the best thing going is.. "The Showstopper" Simon Lebec!!! [Fade] It looks like Lebec will be another fine light heavyweight vying for some gold here in IIWF. Let's take a peek at his specs: "SHOWSTOPPER" SIMON LEBEC Weight: 239 lbs. Height: 6'3" Origin: Hollywood, California Manager/Valet: Miss Crystal Appearance: Lebec enters the ring wearing flashy ring attire. Stylish leather. He's a big fan of hats as well, and he will always enter the ring wearing sunglasses. He has long blond hair and blue eyes. Stunning good looks. Semi-muscular build (like Hunter Hearst Helmsley) Theme Music: Mr. Perfect's WWF ring music Face/Heel: Heel 5 Favorite Moves: - Backbreaker - small package - knee breaker (usually the set-up for the "Antagonist") - piledriver - snap suplex Finishing Move: Lebec really has two finishers. His main finisher is called the "Antagonist". It's a step-over-toe-hold with a twist. Once the step-over is applied, Lebec will turn the opponent over on his back to prevent them from escaping ( also to add a little pressure). However, if the "Antagonist" cannot be applied for some reason, Lebec will always result to "The Blackball". This is your basic Bad News Brown/ Owen Hart type kick to the back of the head. This move can also be a set-up for the "Antagonist". [Handler: Robert Wallace Eddy (v57rwe@morgan.ucs.mun.ca)] It had to be Blu... yes, Mr. Blu Tone is on his way to IIWF. This jazzy superstar has his sights set not on gold discs, but gold of a different kind. His stats sing his praises too: MR. BLU TONE Weight: 267 lbs. Height: 6'6" Origin: New York, New York Appearance: Professionally styled hair, piercing blue eyes, and a neatly groomed goatee and moustache all add to Mr. Blu Tone's almost perfect facial features. A black and gray singlet only adds to his well defined physique. And a pair of freshly shined black wrestling boots carry his nickname, "Ol Blue Eyes." Theme Music: "Stompin' at the Savoy" by Harry Connick Jr. Face/Heel: Face (Arrogant as hell, but a face none the less) Five Favorite Moves: 1. Bear Hug 2. Belly to Belly Suplex 3. Leaping Clothesline 4. Niagra Driver 5. Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker Finishing Move: "The Show-Stopper"---Leg Drop from the Second Turnbuckle [Handler: Shannon-Michael (vampyre@postoffice.pdt.net)] The feared El Lobo Negro is planning to make an impact here in IIWF. He may not be huge, but in the ring he's perpetual motion. Let's take a look at his stats: EL LOBO NEGRO Weight: 223 lbs. Height: 5'11" Origin: Austin, Texas Manager/Valet: None Appearance: El Lobo Negro is a small wrestler whose facial features are concealed by a gold mask. Black full-length tights, black boots, and a long gold cape complete his wrestling attire. Theme Music: "Of Wolf and Man" by Metallica Face/Heel: Heel 5 Favorite Moves: 1. Enzuigiri 2. Flying Somersault Splash 3. Springboard Dropkick 4. Plancha 5. Top Rope Frankensteiner Finishing Move: Lobo Lock (Figure Four Leglock) [Handler: Shannon-Michael (vampyre@postoffice.pdt.net)] One slightly more popular individual on his way to the IIWF is a real no-nonsense individual, Dan "Flash" Kauffman. Let's hear from the man himself, as he prepares for his latest challenges: [SCENE: In the converted basement that is known as "Hell's Abyss", there is a medium-sized man working out in a wrestling ring against a sparring partner. From the distance, it is hard to make out the figure's identities, but it is clear that the man in the black and white zebra-striped leg-length tights is the superior athlete. This man consistently escapes submission holds, including the sharpshooter, the octagon, the figure-four leglock, and a cross-face chicken wing, all with relative ease! After doing that, the other man sets up a wooden table inside the ring. The man that is the superior of the two ducks down, and allows this other man to powerbomb him through the table! Apparently, not all went right, because the man is clutching at his lower-right ribs. The other man refuses to do anything... But the man that was lying in a heap suddenly kicks from his back to his feet in one fluid motion! The other guy smiles, and they go back at it, this time with the lead wrestler hitting numerous offensive moves, and using a vicious spinebuster to end the workout. The lights suddenly come ablaze, and the man that had gone through a table and hit the spinebuster comes into view. He is a well-built, but not massive character, with straight short blond hair parted down the left side, and a charming, if not handsome smile. A trophy case can be seen in the background, with numerous high-school wrestling trophies and amateur prizes locked inside the glass case. Seperate from the glass case, there is a golden trophy-belt bolted to the dark red-brick wall. The camera gets a close up of this belt, enabling the viewer to see the letters 'IFWA' and below, the words 'World Heavyweight Champion'. In the middle of this belt is a nameplate of all the champions ever in the league. There is only one name on the belt... 'Dan Kauffman, November 4th, 1995 to November 24th, 1995'. The league had went under due to time restraints. The man had continued on his journey. The man that was now looking into the camera, and speaks:] "Not too bad a workout I just had, though I need to take that table bump a little more carefully... [To the cameraman in a whisper] Are we on? [Cameraman nods his head] "What you all have just seen is what - and more importantly, who - I am. At least, as far as the way I am inside the ring. What can I do? I can absorb punishment like none before me and no one after me ever will. Hence, the moniker 'Pound for Pound, The Toughest Wrestler In The World!' I can dish out the punishment, using high-impact and submission-tactics to my advantage. I can take an opponent's mistakes and make him regret them. I can reverse any submission hold you can think of, with reversals never before imagined. "But that's enough of what my skills are, for I do not want to sound cocky or brash. I know some of you will see me as such anyway. To the question of: who am I? I am a wrestler, granted. But I do not act as your stereotype wrestler. I act in that ring as I do in real life. Not as a 'wildman' or a 'monster', but as a respectful, focused athlete who is dedicated to his craft. I will not interfere with other people's matches without cause or act in unfair ways. That is not the person I am. This may be viewed as a weakness. But think of it this way. Yes, I can be defeated. Yes, I can be beaten up. Yes, I can be humiliated, smashed, pummelled and slashed until half of the blood in my body is staining the mat! But I CANNOT be destroyed. And I'll be getting up, fighting with every ounce of energy and heart I have, and I will not give up until I have what I want! "What is it I want? Simple. It's not the World Heavyweight Championship, though I will gladly represent the league in that way should I reach that pinnacle. My two reasons for being a pro wrestler are simple. To earn respect, and because it is the sport I love. A man that likes his sport and has respect both for the sport and for others is a very tough man to overcome. "Do not think that I am a 'wimp'. Just because I have my own standards, if you decide to take advantage of those standards, I will punish you at will like there's no tommorow! I have a mean streak. I just know how to use it. "Yes, there are a lot of great athletes here. Wrestlers like the 'Angel of the Sun' Hakiro Matsuoko and the Outlaw, among others, have great potential, and I can't wait to see them in the ring. You see, competition is a great thing. And even if I lose, I will learn from that and bounce back... rest assured of that. "Now, I know you saw my IFWA Championship belt. Do not think that a three-week title reign is my only success. I have also captured the CFWF International Championship and held it for 2 months. I am also involved in the FWLI as of now. So I have the credentials to get somewhere. In other words, do NOT write me off. You'll live to regret it. Someplace, sometime, you will. "So I head to the IIWF World Championship Tournament with hopes and aspirations. Will I get to the top, or will someone knock me off? I guess we'll all find out! And good luck to all." [Fade] This man will surely prove very popular with the fans here in IIWF. He's got a lot of fight in him - as his stats suggest! DAN "FLASH" KAUFFMAN Weight: 230lbs Height: 6'1" Origin: Hagerstown, Maryland Coach: 'Legend' Brandon Bennett. Appearance: Blond straight hair, bue eyes, medium-build like a toned-down Chris Benoit. Theme Music: 'Black Cat' by Janet Jackson. Face/Heel: Face 5 Favorite Moves: Russian Leg-Sweep Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker Top-Rope Superplex Back Brain Kick Texas Clover Leaf Finishing Moves: 1) 'Powerplant' Spinebuster: THE move that is Dan's ice cream and cake, ala Arn Anderson, it is a spinning Spinebuster with TREMENDOUS force! Dan is 13-0 after hitting this move. 2) 'Light-Out': This is the one move Dan has that brings the fans out of their seats like no one else... Ever see a flipping clothesline before? If not, prepare for the incredible... and if you're the opponent, prepare to be rocked! (Flip clothesline off the ropes) 3) 'Falcon Leglock': Simply, the inverted indian deathlock. 4) 'Ides of March': Devastating Tilt-A-Whirl Powerbomb! Tag team partner: 'Legend' Brandon Bennett, but only in rare occasions. Mostly, Dan's a singles wrestler. Name of team: AOE (Alliance of Excellence) Tag team finisher: 'Flash-Thunderstrike': Dan's Superplex followed by Brandon's Texas Clover Leaf [Handler: Daniel Kauffman (SKauff@bigdog.fred.net)] And the figurehead of the Horsemen has finally signed on the dotted line here in the IIWF. This is a man who had to pick through every last detail of his contract until he was 150% sure of its contents. He's a wily veteran, and the dirtiest player in the game. I refer, of course, to Flare: Flare: You look around this Federation and wonder what's causin' all this? Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Horsemen, Outlaw, Bodybag, and me......Flare! So when you see us coming you better step aside, or we'll run right through ya! Wooooooo! Let's take a look at his stats: FLARE Weight: 245lbs Height: 6'3" Origin: McLean Virginia Manager/Valet: Miss Victoria Secret Appearance: Looks like a young Ric Flair with a cut upper body. Theme Music: "Also Sprach Zarathustra" Richard Strauss Face/Heel:Super Heel 5 Favorite Moves: Back hand chop belly to back suplex inverted atomic drop tilt-a-whirl slam knee drop Finishing Move: Figure four leg lock Tag team partner (if any): any of the Horsemen Name of team: The Four Horsemen [Handler: Vinny Rinehard (via: ernmayer@vtu.edu)] Next Report ~~~~~~~~~~~ As you can see, the ranks of IIWF are filling up very quickly indeed.
